Zsuzsanna Kreif – a spirited, bold artist, bringing provoking aspects, brave colors and distant worlds
Zsuzsi studied animation at the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and design, graduated in 2014. Her first film, Limbo-Limbo Travel, co-directed with Bori Zétényi was selected to international film festivals like Sundance, Annecy, Clermont-Ferrand and with the award at Krakow Film Festival got eligible for the Oscars in 2015. From 2015-2018 she directed 13 episodes of the satirical animated comedy series Candide, the contemporary free adaptation of Voltaire’s novel. Since 2012 she have been regularly making illustrations for Hungarian magazine HvgExtra Psychology. She directed animated episodes for TED-Ed and for FX Network as well; and currently she is developing an animated sci-fi feature project, Dino Doom on desert planet, which was awarded with the Open Workshop Prize at the 2019 Annecy MIFA Pitches. She is getting inspired by all segments of nature, and mixing elements as freely as she can.
